BONFIRE
By Mehrish, Grade 10A
To
me feminism is a bonfire. A fire that starts with small steps like collecting
twigs to a huge leap where the fire is now ablaze. Everyone can play a role and
help each other out, from children to grannies they all can take part in this bonfire
called feminism. Even if you don’t help or take part you are still the part of
the beautiful end result, where the flames have grown and spread. Everyone gets
a chance to embrace the warmth and of course the passerby will also feel the
light and hear the flames crackling. A thought each on of us may have different
reasons to start it, but we all have a common goal, that is to see that the
bonfire lights up and spread to all the dry twigs placed. Bonfires may come to
a stop, loose its flames and no one might add fuel to it but that does not mean
the concept of a bonfire has completely shut down. The fire will be burned
again, someone will set it ablaze again.
